	MASI provides several services for converting data from a previous software program to Master Builder. Successful implementation of a new accounting system requires that data be converted from the old system accurately and in a timely manner to meet start up dates. MASI works with clients to decide on the best methods to use in converting to the new system and guides them through all of the steps required. There are two methods of converting data to the new system: Manual and Electronic.
	Manual Data Conversion
	If a smaller company with smaller amounts of data to convert, MASI will assist in training personnel to enter the data and direct the process to ensure it is done correctly and in the most efficient manner. The advantage of this method is that it allows review of all the data to be entered and purged - much of the old items are no longer used or needed. This data entry process is a good training vehicle however, it does take time and energy to complete.
	Electronic Data Conversion
	If the amount of data to convert is extensive, electronic conversion may be the best answer. MASI offers electronic data conversion in conjunction with Syscon, Inc. Cost is based on: The number of files and records to convert (Customers, Vendors, Chart of Accounts, Employees, Parts List & assemblies, Equipment Lists) The work required to map data elements form old system to MB This process requires 30 days advance notice to allow for the data mapping, conversion testing using sample data, final conversion and data loading.
