What’s New in MB version 11?
 
  This class will review the changes Intuit has made in MB11. One of the most significant changes is the concurrent licensing of the program. Now the program is installed in a different manner than the previous versions of MB and there is a new program that must be installed called Intuit Master Builder Administration.

Come and learn how to install the programs and we will review some other new items such as assigning license groups in order to reserve a user license for a specific user and coping a company directory in order to begin a new company.

Beginner Form & Report Design:
 
  A one-day seminar on how to create basic forms and reports in Master Builder. Bring a report that you’ve been wanting and learn how to create it.

This seminar is for those who have little or no experience using Master Builder form and report writing.
 

 
Tuesday, November 1st

Progress Billing (AIA Billing):
 
  Set up, process, and manage progress billing. Learn how to import a schedule of values from your budget or your proposal.

Did you know you could update your progress bills with actual job costs? Also learn how to update approved change orders into your progress billings.

Advanced Report Writing:
 
  Learn how to create new reports from scratch and modify existing reports. A more in depth look at creating and using calculated fields. Bring a report that you’ve been wanting and learn how to create it. This seminar would require attendee to have basic form design & report writer knowledge.

Document Control: 
 
  If you’ve updated to MB11 you now have Document Control!

Learn how to use this area of Master Builder for:

  • Requests for Proposals or Information
  • Transmittals
  • Submittals
  • Plan records
  • Daily Field Reports
  • Punch Lists
  • Correspondence
  • The Project Hot List

Document Control gives you the ability to track this information within the same job that all of your costing and billing is being tracked.

Subcontracts:
 
  Use Master Builders subcontracts to ensure that you never overpay a subcontractor again!

Learn how to enter and print subcontracts, create accounts payable invoices that are related to the subcontract and print reports from the subcontract information. Also, learn how to manage certificates of insurance for your subs and 1099 information.

Fiscal & Payroll Year End Closing:
 
  A one day seminar outlined to instruct you on the step by step process of closing your fiscal year end and your payroll year end. Do you want to add departments in your new fiscal year well now is the time. Detailed review of how to deal with accounting period 00 Prior Year and making journal entries once you have closed the year.

Payroll Year End:
 
  Is your fiscal year end something other than 12/31? If so that means you still have a year-end closing on 12/31 to close out your payroll. This class is to review how to close only your payroll year and how to process W-2’s and 1099’s. We will also review how to update and make any changes you need to your payroll calculations.

Training Seminars General Information:

All Intuit Master Builder training classes are held at MASI's seminar center in Wilmington, Massachusetts. Centrally located 1/4 mile from Route 93, it is easy accessible from anywhere in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island or Connecticut. For driving directions, click here.

Each seminar is limited to 12 attendees. This allows each person to use one of our state of the art training computers and provides a true hands on learning experience.

Each attendee will be given a complete training  package, which follows each topic of the seminar in detail. This is yours to take back to your office for future reference.

Refreshments will be provided for all seminars.

Lunch will also be provided for full day (4 pm) seminars.

Lodging information is available if needed.

Guidelines:

At MASI, we prefer to limit our class sizes in order to maximize our hands on learning approach and ensure that each student will be able to receive personal attention, if needed. Therefore, registration in advance is required.

Alternate dates will be made available if the class is full at time of your registration or if preferred your registration fee will be returned.
