3-D Visual Assemblies

See your estimates from a whole new perspective — with Quest’s brand new 3-D Visual Assemblies.

Why add Visual Assemblies to your Quest estimating system? Because Visual Assemblies mean you don’t have to start from scratch every time your plans call for a complex structure — like a block wall, a slab on metal deck, a lift station, or any one of dozens of common structures built by contractors in almost any specialty.

Once you’ve created one Visual Assembly, you can use it again and again, as often as you like — just adjust the measurements to fit the job, and the software generates your quantities and costs for you.

And the new 3-D graphics mean you can view your structures from every possible angle before it’s built.

Quest Visual Assemblies

visual assemblyWhat's a Visual Assembly?

Visual Assemblies are add-on modules for Quest Estimator. They offer a quick and convenient method for estimating complex structures that include multiple cost items. For example, when you pour a concrete slab, you need concrete, edge forms, chairs, rebar — you even have to account for labor and equipment costs. But when you use the Visual Concrete Slab Assembly to estimate the slab, you don't have to scroll through the entire database and add each individual cost item to the estimate, one at a time. With some basic information about the slab (provided by your digitized takeoff), and with a little additional information from you, the Visual Concrete Slab Assembly pulls all the cost items together and rolls them into a single line item in your bid — the concrete slab.

And what's even more impressive is that our Visual Assemblies are actually visual-you get an easy-to-read computer-generated diagram of your structure — and it changes as you add or remove cost items.

  • Graphic checklists of your project- see what you're estimating
  • Visual verification tell at a glance if items are missing or incorrect
  • Completely reusable in future projects
  • Diagrams change as you add or remove items
  • Easily switch between graphics or quantities view
